The length of your cat’s hair will determine how often you need to groom him. Long haired breeds (such as Maine Coon, Persian and Ragdoll) tend to shed more, so they require daily grooming. Their long hair can become tangled, knotted, or matted if left ungroomed.
If for some reason you do suspect you have contracted the parasite somehow, consult your doctor immediately. It can easily be treated with antibiotics, even if you are pregnant. However, a few precautions as discussed above will more than likely keep you in a safe state and you do not need to get rid of your precious cat. Precautions do go a very long way, for you, your family and your pets.
That iguanas are fine with eating dog or cat grooming tools. News for you – they are not. Such food can only damage your iguana and by no means should you feed it to your pet. If you have a book saying that iguanas eat dog or cat food, throw it (the book, not the iguana) away immediately!
Third misconception I have heard of is completely contradictory to the first one – it says that iguana care takes all of your time and you don’t have any leisure time whatsoever. The third one is really strange. Yes, iguana care definitely takes time but unless you have a farm of iguanas, it’s really not totally time-consuming. You can have time for yourself and once you have learned the most important stuff, it can go pretty automatic and leave you with even more free time.
I wouldn’t voluntarily eat anything that had “by-product” in its name. Meat by-products include things like brain, kidneys, liver, and spleen. Sounds appetizing? I didn’t think so. “Meal” is another process that produces similarly scary things.
My suggestion is take your kitty to your vet to have this done. If you are brave, not faint of heart and can stand the smell you can do it, however, I really don’t suggest it.
I should say that iguana care consists of feeding and care. For both of them, you have to get expert advice and only then you can do stuff on your own. Otherwise, it could be difficult for both you and your iguana. However, once you get this stuff, it becomes not so time-consuming and iguana care might even become a fun thing to do. Fun, and rewarding.
